Education or high school is not only from college

Education or high school is not only from college

Some time ago, a team from Kumparan contacted me and offered to write a special article for Kumparan readers with an educational theme.

Since I only experienced and deepened education through non-school channels, I offered to write about homeschooling and alternative education. It contains stories and different perspectives from experiences in the world of schooling.

I hope that the stories I write can be an inspiration for parents and readers about other ways to read/live education.

Since they are written from a practical point of view, I hope the stories will have a strong footprint on the ground.

My first article finished on Saturday and I sent it to the editor. Unexpectedly, the article was already live yesterday.

This article is part of Coil Plus, Coil's paid channel. If you read it through the Coil Apps, it's currently free. The coil apps can be downloaded on both Android and iPhone.

This first article discusses that there are other ways to study besides going through school. Children who do not go to school (formal) can also go to college.

Education is a right and a need for everyone, from early childhood to adulthood. Education is not only a matter of learning in the classroom, learning mathematics or how to count, nor is it tied to levels from school to college. Education is more than just an exact science or general knowledge, but also about personality or character.

Do not limit educational outcomes to the level or academic degree a person has achieved, because education is actually much broader than all of that. Those who learn are not always educated. However, educated people will definitely not stop learning from anywhere and anyone.

For those who are in need of motivation or enlightenment regarding education, hopefully the following collection of quotes or quotes in English can help.

A group of people who graduated from one of the best colleges said that college, GPA and intelligence had little effect on their success. Even though they were able to become what they are today, that's one of the biggest factors.

Or several people. One is a public figure, one is a businessman who becomes a minister and his parents are rich and famous figures, another is an alumnus of one of the most difficult public schools to enter and they all have master's degrees in America and strangely enough, higher education is not important for success.

Ollah. Really telo. That's right. If you don't go to school, it's okay. Your parents are rich. Take effect. But if there are people whose parents have nothing, can't read and write, school/college will certainly have a big impact on changing their lives. For example, curly (Andrea Hirata) of Laskar Pelangi, if he doesn't go to school, as told in the Laskar Pelangi tetralogy, he will still work like his parents.

That the school must continue to adapt its contents to the times, it must be. But before going to school/college, good grades don't matter (especially if he goes to school in America) what does that mean? And one more. Don't just see that success is seen from money and compared to the success of others, but look and compare the changes in yourself.

Once someone said to me, "Look at him. Just an ordinary school but very successful (He is referring to his father, a professor at a PTN and from his ancestors, he is indeed very rich, when this Prof. was a procurement project official in the office, all of them went to him/her children, he was successful in doing business on acres of land belonging to this Prof.) .

When compared to me, I smiled, "Alhamdulillah, I can go to college and my life continues to improve even though you don't finish elementary school. My neighbors in the village usually finish elementary school or don't even graduate, now many are graduates and their lives are much better.

Anything can be a driving force for success. It could be school or something else. But don't tell me that a small school has an impact on our lives, especially if we can go to college in America or something else. Honestly better.

Education is necessary, but education is not only about degrees. I've never thought like this since in my real life, I actually learned a lot from my friends who even they couldn't afford in college.

We never know, people can learn what kind of lessons in their lives outside of school, maybe they have more experience.

I'm more able to deal with real people/social people than those who are still on campus. It's not that I'm condescending to college students too. But I'm just sharing my point of view.

Mending value people from the way they communicate with others. The way he controls his emotions. Rather than just from a title that sometimes doesn't guarantee that you can balance the conversation too.

People who don't go to college when they talk about exact / knowledge about college, obviously can't balance it. He doesn't have it.

In fact, we should be able to adapt to anyone, not even be rigid about wanting to graduate.

Learning is not only related to formal education. Learning matters are not only related to school or campus, but from birth to death, we are required to learn. Learn from books. From nature. From history. of various phenomena. From experience etc.,

Yesterday at the seminar in Jakarta, I met a young man named Lutfi, Mas. He's a student still in college. School children too. I salute him and I took the time to learn business. Placing study in seminars etc.

and Alhamdulillah, with the business that they are involved in now, they can help with their tuition fees. Can walk for free. scored several entrepreneurs and there are still many dreams that he has achieved thanks to the wasilah business that he is living

But the important point I got from him is,

- every place is a madrasah (school)

- Everyone is a USTADZ/USTADZAH (teacher)

- and every event is DIROSAH (lesson)

So the key is not school or college formalities. Because it is too narrow if the breadth of knowledge must be compressed in the school curriculum sheets.

If the supervisor and distributor of knowledge is only represented by the figure of a teacher or lecturer. Yes too narrow

Please make nature our class

All events as lessons

The flow of life as a curriculum

And make all those who testify to the truth as our teachers... ready?

" SCHOOL / COLLEGE IS NOT JUST A GOOD VALUE "

But about ourselves, we must have commendable morals, not only chasing hiji rankings

About us ourselves who not only have to be smart in lessons but also have to be smart in relationships

Not only know various kinds of theory, but also practice it in everyday life

"NOT COMPETITION WANT FROM EDUCATION"

But about education that can give birth to concern among friends, so that they can work hand in hand to realize success, not even create a culture of competition

So when there are friends who are having trouble, they are not left confused alone

When there is a physical deficiency in a friend, it is not used as an object of ridicule "Bullyan"

Not only transferring knowledge which then makes children know a lot about everything

But about the union between education and teaching, because the two cannot be separated

and how so that we can be closer to God "Allah SWT"

If any of the words are wrong it is due to my lack of knowledge and personal ignorance, but if there is any truth then it is solely from Allah SWT. Hopefully there is some benefit from this article that we can take as a lesson and goodness….Wassalam, Wallahu a'lam Bish-Shawabi
