The U.S. has warned Russia of โ€œcatastrophic consequencesโ€ if it launches a nuclear attack on Ukraine President Joe Bidenโ€™s national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, said Sunday. Sullivan, speaking on ABCโ€™s โ€œThis Weekโ€ show, said U.S. officials have told Russian officials privately that Biden โ€œwill respond decisivelyโ€ if Russian President Vladimir Putin orders a nuclear strike but did not say how the U.S. would respond. Sullivan said the U.S. would โ€œnot engage in a game of rhetorical tit-for-tatโ€ with Russia. Russia released 10 foreign prisoners of war captured in Ukraine Russia released 10 foreign prisoners of war captured in Ukraine, following a mediation by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said. The list includes American, British, Croatian, Moroccan and Swedish nationals, the ministry said in a statement, adding that a plane carrying the prisoners landed in the kingdom. "The relevant Saudi authorities received and transferred them from Russia to the kingdom and are facilitating procedures for their respective countries," the statement said. The ministry did not identify the prisoners. A Saudi official said they were five Britons, two Americans, a Croatian, a Moroccan and a Swedish national. Large numbers of foreigners have traveled to Ukraine to fight since Russia's February 24 invasion. Some of them have been caught by Russian forces, along with other foreigners in the country who say they were not fighters.
