Timnas Indonesia U-23 lolos ke semifinal Piala Asia U-23 2024 setelah mengalahakan Korea Selatan U-23 lewat adu penalti. Sebanyak 3 pemain Garuda Muda berebut gelar top skor setelah memborong dua gol di turnamen ini.
Bermain di babak perempat final Piala Asia U-23 2024 di Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Stadium, Qatar, Jumat (26/4/2024) dini hari WIB, Timnas Indonesia U-23 mengakhiri waktu normal dengan skor 2-2. Dua gol Garuda Muda diborong Rafael Struick, sedangkan dua gol Korea Selatan lahir dari gol bunuh diri Komang Teguh dan aksi Jeong Sang-bin.
Skor sama kuat itu memaksa laga berlanjut ke babak adu penalti. Di babak ini Timnas Indonesia U-23 menang dengan skor 11-10. Penendang keenam Indonesia U-23, Arkhan Fikri, menjadi satu-satunya yang gagal di kubu Garuda Muda. Sedangkan di kubu Korea Selatan, sebanyak dua pemain yang gagal yakni Kang Sang-yoon dan Lee Kang-hee.
Menariknya, Timnas Indonesia U-23 menempatkan 3 pemain dalam daftar top skor sementara yang bersaing menuju sepatu emas. Mereka adalah Komang Teguh, Marselino Ferdinan, dan Rafael Struick yang masing-masing sudah memborong 2 gol.

The Indonesian U-23 national team qualified for the semifinals of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup after defeating South Korea U-23 on penalties. A total of 3 Garuda Muda players competed for the top scorer title after scoring two goals in this tournament.
Playing in the quarter-finals of the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup at the Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Stadium, Qatar, Friday (26/4/2024) early morning WIB, the U-23 Indonesian National Team ended normal time with a score of 2-2. Rafael Struick scored two of Garuda Muda's goals, while South Korea's two goals came from Komang Teguh's own goal and Jeong Sang-bin's action.
The score was equally strong, forcing the match to continue into a penalty shootout. In this round the U-23 Indonesian National Team won with a score of 11-10. The sixth kicker for Indonesia U-23, Arkhan Fikri, was the only one who failed in the Garuda Muda camp. Meanwhile, in the South Korean camp, two players failed, namely Kang Sang-yoon and Lee Kang-hee.
Interestingly, the Indonesian U-23 National Team placed 3 players on the temporary top scorer list competing for the golden boot. They are Komang Teguh, Marselino Ferdinan, and Rafael Struick who have scored 2 goals each.
